The General Motors Promenade is a continuation of the Civic Center Promenade from the east end of Hart Plaza to Rivard Street.

The main plaza area is located in front of the Renaissance Center as a major element in General Motors Corporation’s World Headquarters site.

The goal was to have a continuous, attractive, and desirable waterfront link for the public to view and walk along. TYJT was responsible for the civil and utility modifications that will be necessary in the design and construction of this major element in Detroit's Riverfront.
